Building Your Wellness Team Part 2

I discussed the benefits and what to look for in a Chiropractor, Medical Doctor and Naturopath in last weeks article. This week I will continue with other people you may consider in your Wellness Team.
Massage Therapist – the focus is on helping the body relax with an emphasis on muscle groups and improving circulation. I would recommend a someone who does gentle massages and try to avoid the spinal cord as this may counter act the alignment work done by the Chiropractor.
Physiotherapist – help people with injury or pain with a focus on the use of modalities and exercise. Often used post surgery especially after hip, knee and ankle surgeries.
Personal Trainer – a professional who can help create a detailed workout plan and hold you accountable to make sure you are doing the exercises consistently and correctly. Great for building more power and strength.
Of course they are many other health professionals who can help you achieve your goals – but I thought this list would be a great starting point.
Remember – I’ve worked with many patients who are seen by me while seeing other health professionals. Why? Because my focus is the central nerve system. You have to eat, exercise and you may need additional therapies – but for the best results you need
a clear nerve system. It will always be the master system of the body. It controls how you feel, how you function, and how you recover.
