Headaches and Migraines. They can be brutal. They can affect quality of life. Energy. Focus. They can affect you personally. Professionally. So what can you do naturally to help the situation? So let’s take a step back and see what factors can affect headaches and migraines according to the Power System.
1. Power Focus : This is all about making time for yourself and practicing self-care.
a) Do you pray, meditate, deep breathe or journal? (Good.)
b) Are you getting enough sleep? (Good.)
c) Are you working too much? Are you stressed? (Bad.)
d) Has it been over 1 year with no vacation or break? (Bad.)
2. Power Foods : Are you consuming the best nutrtion for the body?
a) Do you drink water on a regular basis? (Good.)
b) Do you consume alchohol? Soda Pop? (Bad.)
c) Do you smoke? Do you drinks lots of teas and coffees? (Bad.)
d) Do you eat lots of real food like greens and fruits? (Good.)
3. Power Fit : A healthy body needs to move.
a) Do you stretch at least 2 times a day? (Good.)
b) Do you take hourly breaks if you work on a computer all day?
(Good.)
c) Do you do some exercise at least 5 times a week? (Good.)
d) Do you spend at least 1 hour a day on your smartphone? (Bad.)
4. Power Flow: A healthy spine needs to be aligned.
a) Are you regular with your Chiropractic adjustments? (Good.)
b) Do you apply cool gel packs with towels on the head or neck (max 5-10 mins) if you are experiencing pain? (Good.)
c) Are you extending the time of the stretches as you feel more comfortable? (Good.)
d) Are you following the Power System and reading Dr. Sandy’s weekly email or watching his tips on Youtube? (Good.)

Following local bylaws and building requirements – we are asking all patients to wear a face mask when you come to our office for your appointments. We need your help to keep everyone safe and healthy. We are also taking steps for regular cleaning of adjusting tables after every patient visit as well as regular cleaning of the entire office.

As always:
a) if you have any fever, cough or cold or think you may have been exposed to someone with COVID – please cancel your appointment and wait 14 days. Contact your family doctor to decide on the best course of action.
b) if you are being tested for COVID wait for the results before booking your next appointment. If the results are negative you should be fine. If the results are positive you must stay home for at least 14 days. Again contact your family doctor.
c) in the office keep space between yourself and other patients of 6 feet.
d) If you need a receipt or statement they will be emailed to you after the shift. Let us know if you need a statement every 2 weeks or
monthly.
