Top 7 Tips to Beat Morning Stiffness
As the weather gets cooler ❄️— and as we get older 👵👴 — we may start to notice stiffness along our spine 🌀, especially first thing in the morning 🌅. Feeling stiff as we start the day can definitely impact your mood 😕 and even your energy ⚡️.
Here are 7 of my best tips to help you reduce morning stiffness:
1. 💧 Make sure you are drinking water throughout the day. Especially first thing in the morning.
2. 🤸♂️ Stretch just before bed.
3. 🛏️ Sleep. If you sleep on your back, put a pillow under your knees 🦵. If you sleep on your side, put a pillow between your knees 🛌. Also, try to sleep on a firm mattress 🧱.
4. ⏰ Stretch on rising.
5. 🚿 Warm shower with mild stretches or heat packs 🔥 (before bed if necessary).
6. 🚶♀️ Morning walk.
7. 🥣 Eat a healthy breakfast — less processed, less sugar 🍳🍎.
